Prospective Member, Thank you for inquiring about membership at Newark Country Club. We hope the club amenities will meet your needs. The golf course is beautiful and challenging (great for walking-carts are not mandatory). Except for special events, you won't even need a tee time! Nonmember outings are limited so the membership has maximum access to the course. You'll find well organized men's, women's, and juniors' golf programs; a full service golf shop; and excellent groundskeeper and crew. When golf is not on your calendar, a creative chef and attentive staff, two recently renovated restaurants, a lounge, active Social and Family Programs Committees, beautiful modern pool facility, and a friendly membership are yours to relish. Social activities include theater trips; U of D games; Happy Hour; dinner dances with live music; holiday barbecues, brunches; and more! Children's programs include the Easter Egg Hunt (with Easter Bunny), Halloween Party, Christmas Party (with Santa), pool parties, swimming lessons, Junior Golf, Kids Club and the Newark Sharks Swim & Dive Team. In addition to the initiation fees, all members must purchase stock as required in the club bylaws. Golf members are required to purchase two shares; social members are required to purchase one share. It is nontransferable, and is refundable by Newark Country Club upon resignation. Your application will be processed promptly upon receipt of your application, application fee and two letters of endorsement. Following acceptance of your application by majority vote of the Membership Committee, your name and those of your sponsors will be posted for membership review for 30 days, as required in club bylaws, during which time you will enjoy a Trial membership. Enjoy all the club amenities, with no dues, for 30 days; meet with representatives of the Membership Committee; then decide whether or not to continue your membership with NCC.
